Hello,

I am getting an error on a C9200 with the following:

27246010: Mar 3 12:19:31.429 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: sisf add or update record error (Not enough space)
27246011: Mar 3 12:19:31.430 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to find IP record for key XXXX::XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:-2147483298 while trying to delete the record
27246012: Mar 3 12:19:31.434 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to find IPv6 entry in mac xyxy.xyxy.xyxy for ip_key XXXX::XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:-2147483298

27246014: Mar 3 12:19:31.434 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to find IP XXXX::XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX and zone -2147483298 in mac record xyxy.xyxy.xyxy
27246015: Mar 3 12:19:31.434 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to find IP record for key XXXX::XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:-2147483298 while trying to delete the recordF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to add/update IP record for 1.1.1.1:0 err is Not enough space, mac changed is 0
27245885: Mar 3 12:19:15.552 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: Unable to add/update SISF IP table for IP address 1.1.1.1, curr_state REACHABLE vlan 350 ifhdl 0x0000003C zone_id 0
27245886: Mar 3 12:19:15.552 EST: SISF_DB_IOS_ERR: sisf add or update record error (Not enough space)

the IP address is listed as below from the show device-tracking database address command:

Network Layer Address Link Layer Address Interface vlan prlvl           age          state         Time left
ARP                 1.1.1.1   yyyy.yyyy.yyyy         Te1/1/1    350  0005   0s   TENTATIVE 714 ms

when running the show device-tracking database mac xyxy.xyxy.xyxy

it shows a large amount of INCOMPLETE states on the Te1/1/1 interface on many different VLANs

I was doing some googling and found something very similar to a bug entry https://bst.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvz77313

However, the version I am on indicates that the bug was fixed in the version I am on

This issue was introduced in a new feature in 17.2.1 and 16.12.3. It exists in all releases from there until the releases where it has been fixed; it is fixed in 16.12.8, 17.3.5, 17.6.3, 17.7.2, 17.8.1 and 17.9.1. It is in PI code and may therefore be observed on any platform that supports both Crimson and SISF.

I am curious why this is an issue? a show device-tracking database shows that I am not reaching my limit

SW-005#show device-tracking database
Binding Table has 2319 entries, 2318 dynamic (limit 100000)

Aside from the bug report I have not found a way to resolve these error logs without disabling device-tracking. I do not want to do that during production hours.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Use a different IOS-XE train other than 16.12.X -- Try 17.6.5.
