Can someone tell the nomenclature for the 5 uplinks on this device?

Meaning in the CLI what is the naming on them (int te1/1/1-2 or gi1/0/13-14 or gi1/1/1-2)

12 Data ports:

GigabitEthernet1/0/1
GigabitEthernet1/0/2
GigabitEthernet1/0/3
GigabitEthernet1/0/4
GigabitEthernet1/0/5
GigabitEthernet1/0/6
GigabitEthernet1/0/7
GigabitEthernet1/0/8
GigabitEthernet1/0/9
GigabitEthernet1/0/10
GigabitEthernet1/0/11
GigabitEthernet1/0/12

Uplinks:
GigabitEthernet1/1/1 -> 1G copper uplink
GigabitEthernet1/1/2 -> 1G copper uplink
TenGigabitEthernet1/1/3 -> 10G SFP+ fixed uplinks.
TenGigabitEthernet1/1/4 -> 10G SFP+ fixed uplinks.
GigabitEthernet1/1/5 -> doubles as a copper uplink and 802.3bt Type 3 Class 6 PD port to fully power the switch.

Te1/1/1

  • Te stands for TenGigabitEthernet (supports 10 Gbps)
  • Switch 1 , Slot 1 or Module 1 and Port 1

Gi1/0/13

  • Gi stands for GigabitEthernet (supports 1 Gbps)
  • Switch 1 , Slot 0 or Module 0 and Port 13

Gi1/1/1

  • Gi stands for GigabitEthernet (supports 1 Gbps)
  • Switch 1 , Slot 1 or Module 1 and Port 1

Thank you for the response Devaa.

I am wondering for the C9200CX-12T-2X2G, when you log into it, what is the nomenclature for the 5 uplinks?

(in my example I was offering guesses, I do not have the device.)

Above is the general numbering for modular switches or stack switches or switch with some modules.

In C9200CX-12T-2X2G, there are 12 data ports and additional 2x 1G copper, 1x 1G CU PD 802.3bt Class 6, 2x 10G SFP+ fixed uplinks.

You may use the Te1/1/1-2 in a PortChannel to get more bandwidth. You can also use the 1G ports at the end near the 10G ports for uplinks. Better to use the 12 data ports as access ports and any other ports as uplinks based on requirement.

Port GigabitEthernet1/1/5 doubles as a copper uplink and 802.3bt Type 3 Class 6 PD port to fully power the switch.
