We are looking at getting a C9500-24Q-EDU SKU switch. I am finding conflicting information online if that SKU includes Layer 3 routing out of the box. I know that the -A SKU does and the -E sku does not, but some of the product description online sound like the -EDU SKU has Layer 3 as a discount for K12 organizations.
Anyone here have an answer?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
'E' will support limited sets or Routing capabilities including:
Switch fundamentals
Layer 2, Routed Access (RIP, EIGRP Stub, OSPF – Up to 1000 routes),PBR, PIM Stub Multicast (up to 1000 routes)), PVLAN, VRRP, PBR, CDP, QoS, FHS, 802.1x, Macsec-128, CoPP, SXP, IP SLA Responder, SSO
If you are fine with static Routes or limited OSPF or RIP then it will be fine with you.

Thank you for the quick reply, but my question was in regards to the EDU sku, not the E sku.
how does the EDU compare to the feature sets of the E and A feature sets? Or is it just an E with better pricing?

Hi,
I cannot find this SKU in Cisco ordering for my region, however find in other multiple sites and found this SKU offers similar feature which we got with 'A' like complete support for Routing protocols.
I am not sure this SKU is available to buy from Cisco directly, from which site you are referring?

Here are some vendors that sell it. I hope they let you see the sites in your region.

@mhunthsdmissed your reply. I have seen those links already. EDU in those providers provides the similar package what we have with 'A'
