Hi there,

yes, confirmed here:

The SFP-GE-T is listed.

cheers,

Great thank you I see 1gig GLC-TE will work. I assumed 10G RJ45 was supported however in that chart there isn't one listed. Do you know what model for 10G?

You are thinking of the SPF-10G-T-X:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/transceiver-modules/data_sheet_c78-455693.html#CiscoSFP10GTXmodule

...according to the tool, that is only supported on the C9500-24Y4C and C9500-48Y4C:

cheers,

Seb.

Seb Rupik,

How come a Cisco GLC-10GBase-T SFP+ will not work with the Cisco c9500-48y4c if it has 48x 10G capable interfaces? Are those interface designed only for optical sfp's? I hit a massive issue where I thought this switch was able to use 10G copper sfp's but none of them will work and they are getting errdisabled for not being supported.

To clarify, I have Cisco GLC-10G-T-X SFP+ but none of them will work and they are getting errdisabled for not being supported on all 48 interfaces

Hi there,

What software version are you running on the c9500-48y4c? Those SFPs have a required minimum version of 17.4.1 .

cheers,

Seb.

you mean GLC-T yes it does support, there are some version has some bug (i dont remember) the port show always up even you remove the cable, so make sure you have right version of code like 17.3.3 or above.

I can't find any document that says the Cisco Catalyst C9500-40X-A supports both 1&10 GIG RJ45 SFP. Can someone please confirm

1 and 10G support, I have tested 1GB GLCT - community many people used 10G Copper SFP and confirmed it works.

Not all firmware can support SFP-10G-T-X.

You are better off raising a TAC Case because the TMG page rarely gets updated correctly.
