I got the problem that on all our cisco catalyst 9300 series switches some random interfaces do not finish the cable-diagnostics tdr:
TDR test last run on: May 13 06:12:18 Interface Speed Local pair Pair length Remote pair Pair status --------- ----- ---------- ------------------ ----------- -------------------- Gi1/0/42 1000M Pair A N/A N/A Not Completed Pair B N/A N/A Not Completed Pair C N/A N/A Not Completed Pair D N/A N/A Not Completed
It seems like it completely random because this port Gi1/0/42 on one other switch doesnt have the problem.
The Port-Configuration is nearly identical except the used vlan.
I already read a discussion about the problem with the 3750x :
https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/cable-diagnostics-tdr-not-completed/td-p/3035913
and this bug report:
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtl71772
the software fix for the 3750x is not compatible with 9300 so I didn't try to install that shown software version.
Switchtype: C9300-48T
IOSXE Software: 16.06.07
@ cisco did you already fixed this issue in the brand new software IOSXE 16.06.08 ??

Try a different firmware.

I already tried with IOSXE 16.06.08 in our lab. There where no issues to the only two interfaces that are connected. But... there are just two. I just wanted to make sure that the issue is fixed officially in 16.06.08 bevore rolling out the newer firmware to 100+ switches.
