Can Catalyst 1000 Switch be connected to VSS systems?

What does the statement below in the Limitations and Restrictions section of the release notes for Cisco Catalyst 1000 Series Switches mean?
Multi-chassis EtherChannel (MEC) is not supported.

Since the C1000 device supports PAgP or LACP, I think it can connect to VSS or StackWise as MEC.
Does this phrase mean that I cannot connect C1000 devices to VSS systems or StackWise Virtual systems?

No, Catalyst 1000 only supports "horizontal stacking".

you cannot connect C1000 switches in VSS. you can connect uplinks and downlinks using LACP or PAgP to increase bandwidth between switches.

Thank you for your answer.

The intent of my question is not to make the C1000 switch a member of the VSS system.

As shown in the attached picture, is it possible to uplink the C1000 switch to the currently configured VSS system to MEC?
I tested connecting to the VSS system through MEC using the UTP port of the C1000 switch, and it was connected normally. I would like to know if this connection method is the normal way.
