Can detection status be set on 2960 x?

My device is not being recognized by #show power inline police. Here are some logging information that may be helpful. I would like to be able to control POE on this port.

 

With device plugged in...

Port 15 detection status is set to 0. How can this be changed to 4?

Hello Donald,

what device are you trying to connect to the port gi1/0/15 ?

 

You should verify to what POE standard the device declares to conform to.

The device works fine in a different port. When I use the command "show power inline police", it shows the status when connected to another port.

Port 15 powers up the device but doesn't show the status. The port seems to be setup for POE always. You can't turn it off or disable it with CLI command like "power inline never"

 

Is there a problem with the port?

Here is what it looks like when the device is plugged into another port. I tried resetting the switch and configuring the switch again but that didn't work. Other logs indicate the port is active and communicating but the POE on Port 15 isn't controllable or detected. Is there a way to fix port 15?

 

Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks.
