Can I stack a Cisco L2 Switch and L3 Switch together?

Can I stack a Cisco Layer 2 Switch and Layer 3 Switch together?

I have a Cisco 2960-X (Layer 2 Switch)  and 3750(Layer 3 Switch), can I make a stack of these two switches?

As correctly already noted by Nithin, the answer is no.

What I recall (?) you can do, is "cluster" the two switches, so they are managed as one device, by they will not physically stack, as the technologies are different between those two series.

The 3750 can stack with any other 3750 (i.e. original, G, E or X - BTW, the E and X have an enhanced stack technology, so I recommend those not be stacked with earlier series models, but they can be) and I recall (?) the 2960-X might stack with the 2960S (and perhaps other 2960 stackable variants).

Also, on the 3750, you can have mixed IOS feature images on different stack members, IP Base and IP Services.
