Can't connect to Switch

So we have this cisco sg200-50p switch at our IT department. When powering on the switch, the power light keeps blinking green. This should mean it is obtaining an IP address. It keeps blinking for hours without any progess.

So we have followed some tips by resetting the switch (35 sec) and connecting only a notebook to it (with static ip 192.168.1.20). But the switch can't be approached (192.168.1.254).

The ethernet port on the notebook has a green solid light, and the ethernet port on the switch has no lights. Not a single port will light up when plugging in a cable. So it seems that all ports are down. The switch doesn't have a console port, so we can't approach it this way.

Different cables and notebooks have been tried. Also connecting the switch to a DHCP network doesn't work.

Does someone had similar problems to this one, or does anyone know the fix / cure?

Are you able to ping the IP address 192.168.1.254 from the laptop?

Please use the IP address 192.168.1.254 with mask 255.0.0.0 in the laptop and try to reach the switch?

Followed your steps, but is doesn't work for us.

When connecting a device to the switch, the port lights aren't turning on.
