Hi, here I am in situation with Cisco white switch Catalyst WS-C2960C-8PC-L.The ip cameras can't take enought power over poe ports of the cisco switch. The ip cameras work only with poe injectors.I think the problem is in power supply of Catalyst WS-2960C-8PC-L.Is it there easy way to check poe output of the ports? The data links work fine, but the poe links not work.
"sh power inline" should show you the max wattage supported by all port.
The WS-C2960C-8PC-L provides 15W per port. You can check the power output with "show power inline" command. You should also check the spec of the camera.
If they should be compatible, sometimes enabling LACP may help with the POE negotiation.
Also, "debug ilpower [port | powerman | event]" may provide some answers as to what is going on.
You may be able to adjust the power output with the "power inline consumption ####" interface command. But that may have limited options.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the commands I will try them. The cameras are Axis and they are compatible with Cisco equipment. They were work fine 3 months but one day they stopped to work. And I replaced the switch with another switch, the same model and I solve the problem for now.
