Hello Folks,

I am facing one problem in CME 2951 10.0 version. when try to up load the firmware, it reply you need to delete the some entries from Flash first then you can add.

I have 2 options to do this :

1)remove   these type of files crashinfo_20151022-043934 (can i delete these files without bad impact)

2)add in DHCP    option 150 ip 192.168.125.1 192.168.120.50 (can i use another ip for option 150, how it is work?)

quick response highly appreciated,

Regards,

Kazim

Hello Kazim,

the crashinfo file can be deleted without impact, it is useful for troubleshooting and debugging crashes, but not needed for the operation of the IP phone.

DHCP option 150 specifies the TFTP server on which you have stored the firmware. So the IP address (or addresses) need to be the ones that correspond to the respective TFTP servers. In your example, your TFTP servers would be 192.168.125.1 and 192.168.120.50. If your TFTP servers have different IP addresses, or if you want to use different TFTP servers, change the IP addresses accordingly.

This crashinfo was generated on 22 October 2015.  Copy this into an external site and delete the file.

2951 has TWO CF flash port at the back.  One is already "loaded" with a CF and the other one, I presume, would be empty.  Get a supported CF and load into "flash1:" and viola!
