We have couple Cat 6509(IOS: 12.2(33)SXI9) with configured HSRP between both switches. We tried do arping from Linux server to gateway(HSRP address on both catalyst) IP and didn't get arp reply. Looks like catalyst switches not responding on ARP with src IP 0.0.0.0
Also we tried to do arping NOT HSRP address in the same vlan and didn't get reply as well but we get reply if we do arping to another Linux server in vlan.
Can't figure out is it expected behavior on cisco catalyst switches. No DAI enabled, no dhcp snooping.
Could you please help me to find information about this feature/bug?
