Hi,
does anybody know which of the following information about power and btu of the catalyst 3560 is correct?
I found some information in the data sheet (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps7078/product_data_sheet0900aecd805bac22.html, table 5 power specifications):
C3K-PWR-750WAC: Total output btu/hr 2568
One page down there is mentioned a WS-C3560E-48PD-S (with 265W power supply ??) and 915W power consumption and 561 btu/hr "at the switch" (both @ 100% throughput and max poe loads)
In the power calculator I got the following information for a WS-C3560E-48PD-S with 48 x 7W poe:
336W power consumption and 286.86 btu/hr
Furthermore, is there any information about power consumption and btu for Cat4500 and Cat6500 series switches for different load and throughput profiles?
Many thanks,
Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,
Yes, for 4500 and 6500 you can use the Cisco power calculator to figure out power consumption and BTU
See this link:

Hi Reza,
your're right but there I cannot calculate power ressources needed at different data throughput (e.g. 5%, 25%, 50%, 90%) and cpu load.
