Hi,

When you fail from one sup to another, do you wait long enough for the first sup to boot.

Message below means the sup is still booting

HTH

Hi,

yes, it takes long time to boot

Hi,

Yes, it takes about 6 to 7 minutes for the sup to boot.  So, when you fail it over, wait until the old active comes back as stand-by before you fail it over again. To be safe, wait for about 10 minutes.

What ver of IOS are you using?

HTH

Hi,

yes, i did it....before fail it over i wait until second SUP would up....

yes, sh red looks good.  You are running an old version os IOS.  An Upgrade may expedite the fail over process.  Usually, the fail over is in sub-seconds.

Hi,

i think problem is in another  field....

Here my scheme-

Cat6k is ROOT for VLAN1 and all ports are in FWD state.

C3925: F0/0/0 is FWD ( connected to SUP1 g1/2) and F0/0/1 is BLK (connected to SUP2 g2/2).

But SUP2 is ACTIVE(strange that f0/0/1 on C3925 is BLK). Anyway Cat6K is available.

Is it right way of connecting Cat6k with two SUP?
