Will the 9200T (Non-PoE) switch accept the larger 9200P (PoE) Power Supply (600W) as a redundant PS, or will it complain and not function ?

its not a reasonal approach with higher PSU for redundent, since primary only required 125W max.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Let me clarify a little bit...

I understand it not being a reasonable idea / approach, but the customer is balking on the price of the redundant PS, and has one PoE switch and one Non-PoE switch at this particular location.

So their thought process is to buy the 9200-24P (PoE) switch with redundant PS (600W), and the 9200-24T (Non-PoE) switch with a single PS (125W)...

The question is if the Non-PoE (125W) power supply fails, can we pull out the 600W redundant PS from the PoE switch, and plug it into the Non-PoE switch, and will it work ??

I'm sure the form factor is the same, but will the Non-PoE switch complain about the 600W power supply ??

I know it's pitching pennies, but some customers are like that - LOL :-)
