Catalyst 2960S-48FPS-L Version V04 Bad recovery from software upgrade

I have a WS-2960S-48FPS-L  rev D0.  Previously, I attempted to installed IOS upgrade 152-2.E8 using the CNA.  It failed to upgrade correctly.  Via the console, I attempted to erase the old IOS and install the new version via Xmodem.  At some point during my troubleshooting I formatted the flash memory thinking that there was something wrong with it as a whole.  Today, I was able to reload c2960s-universalk9-mz.152-2.E8.bin via Xmodem correctly, and it boots!  My problem is this:  It shows that it has no interfaces and it also is not able to do a SWITCH>display vlan .

Can anyone help me out?  I'm at a loss with this unit.

 - As far as I understand the command 'display vlan' does not exist; can you issue 'show vlan' instead.

Sorry for the long delay. I was tasked with work out of town and I was unable to get back to this unit. You are correct, I did mean 'show vlan'. This is the result when I attempt this:

Switch#show vlan

Post the complete output to the following commands:
1. sh version; and
2. dir;

Sorry for the long delay, I was tasked with system admin work out of town and I was unable to get back to this unit.  Here is the requested info:

>sh version

The >dir command fails to run.

I reboot the switch while holding down the button on the front panel.  After it booted, I performed a flash_init and then a dir flash:   Here are the results.

------------------

switch: dir flash:
Directory of flash:/

3 -rwx 19328 <date> config.text

Why did you have to do this just to get the output of the flash content?  The "dir" command can only be invoked in enable mode.
