im running 12.2 (58) SE2 on my 3750's.  i want to upgrade them but not sure which to go to.  i know we are using ipbase and i see sw image is showing C3750E-universalk9-M.  im looking to hopefully do a clean upgrade with no other configuration changes.  so what version do i go to?

thank you

This is the suggested version by Cisco.

c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SE11.bin

Before you upgrade to any version, make sure to read all the release notes for caveats and bug fixes.

why ipbase and not universal?  right now the switch is running universalk9-m

There is also a universal version on Cisco's site.

c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE11.bin

Hi,

As Reza mentioned, you can download the universal image for the same.

"why ipbase and not universal?"

If your license is only for IPBase, the IPBase image will support all its features, but with a smaller RAM footprint.

I agree with Reza. Use the latest 12.2(55)SE train.

Leo, I think Reza suggested the recommended 15.x code.

Leo suggestion for using (55)SE is because it's a very stable release, and likely would be closest config wise to (58), although there's a chance you might be using a (58) feature not found in (55).

The other issue with (55), it may be end of maintenance.
