I have a couple of Catalyst 3750X switches (WS-C3750X-48T-S) that have recently been decommissioned and I am planning to reuse them for some lab work.
The 1st one I booted up is in a boot loop, however I can boot to ROMMON. The 2nd one boots fine.
I think there is a hardware fault with the 1st one but wanted to check its not actually software or ROMMON variables that are causing the issue. They both had 12.2(55)SE1 IOS on them.
When it boots I see the following on the console

I couldn't find a USB stick that it would recognise from ROMMON so I copied the latest 15.2(4)E10 .bin image via XMODEM @ 115200Kbps to the root of the flash: and manually booted from it. It took a while as it went through the Front-end Microcode updates, however it completed these updates without issues and then rebooted as expected
