Catalyst 3850-48P-E Software Upgrade

Hello,

We have 3 Catalyst 3850-48P-E switches and we have an outage window coming up where I would like to upgrade the IOS on each of these to the latest stable release. Below are the current versions:

16.8.1a

03.06.06.E

03.03.05SE

On the Software & Downloads page, there are 2 suggested releases, 16.3.8 and 16.6.5...my question is for each switch, which version should I upgrade to?

Currently the suggestd IOS-XE release for 3850 is 16.6.5

Is 16.8.1 >> 16.6.5 considered a downgrade or upgrade?

No, it is not really a downgrade or upgrades 

Denali-16.3.8

is denali 

and Everest-16.6.5

is Everest.

We use Denali and so far so good. If you want to load Everest, read the release note before loading.
