Catalyst 3850 recommended software

Hi

Can someone explain why recommended software for catalyst 3850 is 16.9.3a while for Cisco ISR 4000 series is 16.9.4

And this is despite the fact that 16.9.4 has many improvements which 16.9.3a does not have.

What is the point?

Read the Release Notes carefully and don't look for the "gold star".
Cisco regularly changes which version gets the "gold star".

Yes, I've already read it. That's why there was a question :-)

According to Release Notes 16.9.4 it is the best choice

But may be cisco knows something that does not mentioned in Release Notes? And that's why "gold star" on another version
