Catalyst 4507 R+E Sup 8 10GB fiber uplinks compatible with 1GB fiber uplinks on Cat 2960S

Are the 10GB fiber uplinks  on the Cat 4507R+E compatible with the 1GB fiber uplinks on the Catalyst 2960S switch? Both switches are using SFP mini-Gbic transceivers.

Sup 8 ports are 1/10. So, yes as long as both sides are using the same type of SFPs (1Gig) and cables.
