Catalyst 6800 Alarm

Samuel
Level 1
Level 1

Last night we had a power outage and our switch booted up with power from only one PSU. Now the switch has a steady amber status light and I see the below message.

system minor alarm on power-supply 1 power-output-mode (raised 16:18:36 ago)
system minor alarm on power-supply 2 power-output-mode (raised 16:18:12 ago)

Can someone tell me how I can clear this.

If you have 2 PSU in the cabinet, Remove the power cord for the Faulty one and re-seat back, if it had same issue.

Need to raise a TAC case for RMA.

Thanks for you reply. Just to be clear both power supplies are working properly. The only issue was that there was only one power source with the switch initially boot up. Now both PSUs are working properly but this alarm is there and I dont know what it means.

post the output from 6800.

show environment status
show power status all

Exactly! Hence the reason I would like to clear the alarm.

What are you trying to clear? The SNMP alarms? The logs?

I would like to clear the alarm on the switch. The status light is amber which isnt a nice sight to see when going into our DC.

What firmware is the appliance running on? If both PS are powered up then this sounds like a bug.

Its running System Bootstrap, Version 15.2(02)SY [Rel 1.0]

Not that aware of any bugs reported i guess, if you have contract worth opening TAC case with show tech information.
