Catalyst 6807 - Power supply error message

I have seen these message on the log of a catalyst 6807 :

Aug 6 11:13:31: %C6KPWR-2-PSFAIL: power supply 1 output failed.

Aug 6 11:13:31: %C6KPWR-2-PSFAILREASON: power supply 1 failed with reason: fan fault

Aug 6 11:13:31: %SNMP-STBY-5-CHASSISALARM: Chassis Alarm Trap: tmpAlarm(OFF), minorAlarm(ON), and/or majorAlarm(OFF)

Aug 6 11:13:40: %SNMP-5-CHASSISALARM: Chassis Alarm Trap: tmpAlarm(OFF), minorAlarm(OFF), and/or majorAlarm(OFF)

Aug 6 11:13:40: %C6KPWR-4-PSOK: power supply 1 turned on.

Aug 6 11:13:40: %SNMP-STBY-5-CHASSISALARM: Chassis Alarm Trap: tmpAlarm(OFF), minorAlarm(OFF), and/or majorAlarm(OFF)

This switch is still working without problems, but I don't know why this log messages occur.

What could be the reason of this failure? please tell me how troubleshooting this.

It appears that the fan for power supply 1 is failing. Can you physically check the fan to make sure it is actually working?

Also, you may want to open a ticket with TAC and get it replaced.  It could also be a software bug that is known to TAC.
