Catalyst 9000 Switches

We have 2 unit Cisco 9200L with POE (Cisco IOS XE Gibraltar), When we configure trunking port on Gi1/0/24 for both switch, then connect with UTP cable, the port is not functioned.

The command for each port:

Switchport mode trunk

Switchport trunk allowed vlan all

power inline never

Can someone help me on this issue, or anybody have the solution for this issue

it should work as expected.

steps i follow :

1. change with new cable ? and test it.

2. is this switch next to each other or different location ?

3. what happends if you connect laptop or any other device this port ? is this port come up ?

4. some time by default ports are i shutdown mode try below both the siwtch ?

interface gi 1/0/24 

no shut

!

end

Still not working -  Can you post-show interface gi 1/0/24 from both the switches?

Are these two switches stacked together or you connecting them together via a trunk on port gig1/0/24?

Do the following: 

test cable tdr interface <PORT>

Wait for approximately 7 to 10 seconds

show cable tdr interface <PORT>
