Does the switch automtically determine the network connection speed? We have upgraded our server to gigabit ethernet along with all our workstations, but still only getting 100mbps.
Also, all cables are Cat 5e.
Any suggestions?

Robert,
Which model of switch are you using. Express 520 series has a max of two gigabit Ethernet ports. Make sure that your server is plugged into a gigabit port. Also make sure that your ports are either set for auto negotiation or hard coded for 1Gps.

Is your switch model the 520G-24TC Switch? This is the only model in the CE520 series that supports host ports at 10/100/1000. The other models only support gig speeds on the uplink ports.
If you have the correct model you should have automatically gotten the higher speed rate. If the port were hardset are 100/full that would also explain the issue.
