I have installed a Cisco CWDM-SFP10G-1470= in our core switch VSS (cat4500e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.08.01.E). It works but I was suprised it is shown like:
Te1/1/32 **UPLINK-DC03-SW00 connected trunk full 10G Unknown SFP+
Is this normal for Cisco 10Gbps CWDM on Catalyst 4500x shown as unknown?
Full Interface info:

I can't see any CDWM SFP+ here, only DWDM:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/compatibility/matrix/10GE_Tx_Matrix.html#_Toc450654349
Maybe yours works because you have "service unsupported-transceiver" in your config...

Thx for your anwser Lulian.
You mean "service unsupported-transceiver" allows my switch to use it, but normally C4500X not supports CWDM?

That's my guess, yes. Of course, it will be proven wrong if you don't have "service unsupported-transceiver" configured :)...

OK seems working. Should I worry about it, when I have to open a TAC case anytime in the future?
Because we but Cisco module to have no cisco TAC complains.
