CHANGE FLASHCARD ON ROUTER 2811

                   Hi.

I need to upgrade the IOS and therefore change the flashcard on a router 2811.

What is the procedure to change the flash (64MB to 256MB) on a 2811 router?

I can remove the flashcard when the router has already started, change the flashcard and load the new IOS?

Hi,

Yes, after the router boots completely, you can take out the flash card, replace it with a new one, load the IOS from the TFTP server into the new flash card and reboot the router.

I already change the flash without any problem.

I put a 512 Mb flash (according to cisco documentation is 256 Mb max) and it worked perfectly.
