Cisco 2360 Datacentre Switches - Any experience?

Hi All,

Been eyeing up these new 2360 Switches, and was wondering if anyone has used them, and could share their experiences with them?

We're in the process of building a couple of new DataCentres and may look to use these instead of the 3750 / 3560 series that we normally do, so other than the obvious lack of Layer 3, addition of 10Gbps uplinks, and redundent power / cooling, what am I gaining / losing by going to these?

Many thanks,

Nick

You really have to look at what its being used for .  If you have no need for any L3 functions this may fit your needs .  You should have some idea of what kind of traffic it will be asked to transfer and compare it against the specs. Also look at things like the warranty, from what I see the 2360 only has a 1 year warranty compared to say a 3560 which is lifetime .
