Is this low risk or does this router need changing? I dont have Cisco support to RMA

Hi,

This seems to be a cosmetic bug as the "sh env" shows everything is ok with the device. An IOS upgrade will most likely solve the issue but if you don't have support then you should be fine with what you have.

HTH

show env says "Low RPM"? will that be an issue?

There is nothing you can do if there is no Service Contract to replace the fan assembly.

You may want to turn off the router and clean the fans to make sure dust or dirt is not clogging the fans.

Also, have a look at this link:

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=mmr_kc-0129171

HTH

understand this, ths router is off site and i cant get there - my question is it risky to leave it like this or does this need immidieate attention to replace?

A router is fully dependent of the fan to keep the motherboard clean. If the fan isn't functional, then the temperature of the CPU will increase. And no one wants to see a very expensive router with a melted CPU.
