Cisco 2960 L Port configuration issue

Hi,

We have recently installed a Cisco WS-C2960L-SM-24TS 15.2(6)E2b.

For reminder, the switch is configured on Web interface and cli on read only.

I have configured a port in access mode vlan 7 and then moved it to trunk.

The issue is that on cli, i can see both configuration on the interface and no way to clear it:

interface GigabitEthernet0/22
switchport access vlan 7
switchport mode trunk
!

On the web interface: it is trunk.

Hi,

The additional command does not harm anything. Not familiar with the Web interface but on the cli, you can negate vlan 7 (no switchport access vlan 7).

Hi Reza,

Thanks for your reply. The solution makes sense except the catalyst 2960 is a smart switch. The CLI is in read only and the configuration is done on web.

Since the switchport access vlan 7 does not impact the trunk operation, then there is no issue.
