Saroj,

I suggest you connect to the switch via the serial console port and configure it before you connect it to your LAN. You can then either run through the basic setup script or drop straight to the CLI and configure in detail without affecting your users.

Regards,

Zac

I have configured the  switch  mgmt  VLAN an IP Address. Default GW ,name server ,ssh . Hope  it will work now.

But  I want  to know  the Difference  of 2960TC-L  and  2960PC-L  .

Thanks,

Saroj

PC-L has PoE ports the TC-L does not.

Regards,

Zac

Out of the following  Cisco Catalyst 2960, 2960-C and 2960-S Series Switches  which one is a better option for LAN Switch,

Thanks,

Saroj

It depends what features you need.  See

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6406/prod_models_comparison.html for a comparison of the various models.

Ok Thanks.

But what is the difference between Lan base and Lan Lite image.

Thnaks,

Saroj

If you go to the FAQs for the 2960 range -

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps6406/prod_qas0900aecd80322c37.html

there is a lot of the info you are probably looking for but I've extracted a couple of sections for you

• Higher network-level availability with features such as Flex Links and Link State Tracking

•  Increased number of VLANs (256) and other enhancements such as IPv6  Host, MLD Snooping, LLDP-MED, RSPAN, MVR, DHCP Option 82, and IP SLA  (responder)

Q. What are the similarities between the Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Base and LAN Lite switches?

A. Both Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Base and LAN Lite Switches support the following capabilities:
