Cisco 2960x Upgrade

Good morning team,

I have many location with version 15.0ex5 on my cisco switches 2960x. I have been upgrading them thru prime infrastructure to version 15.2E7 and once the switches reboot the stacks get stuck with lit light "SYST" in amber. My question is, is it better upgrade EX5 to E5 and then E7? so is no many version at the same time. Is it any recommendation from cisco how to upgrade? has this happened to any of you? lol sorry for many questions. Have a great day!

Hi,

You should be able to go directly from 15.0ex5 to 15.2E7, as long as you meet the memory and flash space requirement.

I can't all the stacks get in ambar SYST led and I have to do a hard reboot in order they come back normal. Thank you for your reply

In most cases a soft reboot will works but I have also seen cases where a hard boot is required.

it is not uncommon with some newer IOS versions.

Hi, may I know that is there any upgrade path or "hop" to upgrade the version from 15.0(2)EX5? Or I can upgrade directly from 15.0(2) EX5 to Cisco recommended version of 15.2(4)E6?
