Cisco 3524XL not booting? HELP! :(

The switch is not booting.

I'm in "switch" mode

I've done the following:

Pressed the "mode" button until port 1 led is off

typed in flash_init

typed in load_helper

dir flash:

changed the config.text to config.old

as soon as I type in "boot" i get a message saying "BOOT PROCESS FAILED....."

Someone please tell me how to fix this issue?

What is the output of "dir flash"?

Is there an image to boot from?

Your switch won't boot because the appliance can't "read" a TAR file.

I've sorted it, I deteled the .tar files. Then used the xmodem to upload the the .bin file.
