Billy, did you ever find a solution to this issue? We have the exact same issue and cannot find a solution anywhere. The only difference between your trouble and our trouble is the switch type. You are on Cisco and we are on Enterasys.
Network wise I never found a solution for the problem. What I did do was have the firmware replaced on the printers NIC and after a reboot of the network enviroment we have not had the problem reappear.
I still cannot swear that the firmware update or the reboot of the network helped, but as of today the printers are working as they should.
