Cisco 3750 Stack change master

5x Cisco 3750E-48TD

Firmware 15.0.2

Hello,

i have on my stack a cpu utilization from 65% constant.

Actually i have the master (15) on switch1 there also have the 10g uplinks running.

Is it possible to move the master to an other member without any reboot or disconnects?

Thanks,

Best regards

Cando

Hi there,

You can change the priority values whilst the stack is running, but the only way to actualy move the master is to reboot the current stack master.

Incidentally it goes against 3750 best practice to have the master on the same switch which connects the uplinks.

cheers,

Seb.
