Cisco 3850 QoS to CUBE

Hi All,

I have a Cisco 3850 switch that will connect to a Cisco 4431 CUBE router that will provide connectivity to a SIP trunk. My question is what is the best practise to provide QoS on the Cisco 3850 LAN interface that connects to the CUBE router? As the Cisco 3850 trusts DSCP markings by default, do we need to configure anything at all or should we be using auto qos like 'auto qos trust'

Hi,

On the LAN side, you just need to enable auto qos on the interfaces connecting to the phones.

example assuming Cisco phones:

auto qos voip cisco-phone

and then verify by issuing 

sh auto QoS interface gigabitEthernet x/x/x
