The network is configured with 2 switches as primary and backup. Trunks 1/1 and 1/2 are enabled between these switches. When disabling trunk 1/1 on backup switch, this switch halts. Is this problem related to a faulty supervisory engine?
No, this is not a hardware issue. It may be a configuration issue but we can not know that unless you provide the config from both switches and explain the design further.
