need help. cisco c4948e switch  log is showing

checked the data sheet and is not supported. Why we get this log from the switch? is it cosmetic?

Hello,

Most common reason for this error is flash being not properly setaed within slot or faulty. Can we first check or rule out those two.

Please try first to reseat flash in slot and do "dir slot0:" or "dir disk0:" and if errors will continue - try to replace it with another flash from other switch.

Please also attch "show ver" and "show mod" once steps above done to check for other possibilities.

Guys,

correct me . Cisco 4948e is only 1RU and i cant see the compact slot on the switch. and cant locate the flash.is it internal? the data sheet mentioned only 4900M has the compact slot. no show module on the tech file.

Ah right,

Compact falsh is supported only on 4900M and on E series is not:

Possibly that complains of a bootflash:. Can you try to copy any file to bootflash:

BTW please also send "show file sys" to check other  locations available.
