Cristina,

Before rebooting during the VSS conversion, how long had it been since the chassis was rebooted ?

You may be hitting this: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/field-notices/637/fn63743.html

Please call TAC and let them investigate.

Based on the serial numbers of the 6748-GE-TX and 6724-SFP, I would say all three were manufactured on the first week of October 2010.

Because of this, I believe the following line cards are affected by the Memory Component Issue (Field Notice: FN - 63743 - Catalyst 6500 - Might Fail to Boot Up After a Software Upgrade or Power Cycle).
