As I can see on it's backplane, I'm sure that Cisco 831 router has four 10/100 BASE-T RJ-45 interfaces (integrated switch) + one 10BASE-T RJ-45 interface (WAN ethernet port), but "show run" output shows two extra interfaces. "show ip int" output displays 4 FastEthernet interfaces, and 2 Ethernet interfaces. In addition to that issue, one more interface (Ethernet2) has been added when I recently upgraded IOS to 12.4(8). Is this a bug, or something else?

The ethernet interfaces are: WAN connection and DMZ port which is linked to Port4 on the switch. Both are limited to 10Mbs. Check the following link for further info:

On other places I noticed that some people have same problem, but I can't still figure out why this is happening...
