Hi All

With a 9200L switch with Network essentials/DNA essentials licence, can we add L3 svi's and static routes on it?

If so what are the limitations?

Many thanks

Carl

Hi there,

From the datasheet: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-9200-series-switches/nb-06-cat9200-ser-data-sheet-cte-en.html

  • IP unicast routing protocols (including static, Routing Information Protocol Version 1 [RIPv1], RIPv2, RIPng, and Open Shortest Path First [OSPF], Routed Access) are supported for small network routing applications with the Network Essentials stack.

So the answer is 'yes'.

cheers,

Seb.

Essential good enough for your requirement, it support good static routing, and also some good OSPF routes too, since it has only 1 path out act as access switch, you are good. (Hope you not expecting any VN here )

here is good :
