Cisco ASA as Routed Hop?

Does anyone know how to make a Cisco ASA appear in traceroutes as a routed hop?

You will need to run the ASA in routed mode as opposed to transparent mode to accomplish this.

If the ASA is already in routed mode.

Cisco ASA does not decrement TTL by default, you have to turn that on in a service policy -> connection settings to allow the ASA to be seen when doing a traceroute.
