Hi,
I have cisco catalyst 3750x 24 port switch series switch, and the switch has C3KX-NM-10G module.
Problem:
I have connected fibre optic in SFP+ transceiver on G2/TE1 (Uplink). After 7 to 8 hours, the SFP+ transceiver stops working (Lights off state). There is no data transmission. If I removed the SFP+ transceiver and reinserted, then the connection coming back to normal (Lights Blink). The data transmission starts again. This is happening daily.
Anybody has an idea about How to troubleshoot the switch.

- Check the logs when this happens, preferably use a syslog-server. for flexible logging monitoring

Hi,
Does show interface show any error messages? Also, try replacing the fiber patch cord connected to the optic, if that does not help, replace the SFP+.

Hi,
While Checking the logs I found this error.
Tx power low alarm and Rx power low alarm (Is this an SFP transceiver issue)

Hello
Try upgrading the IOS if the logs don’t show anything, We had the same issue not log back with a 3750x distribution stack , Nothing in logs to show the failing transceivers, Put it down to possible buggy ios, once we upgraded the stack all good haven’t had a fail since..

Post the complete output to the following commands:
sh version sh logs sh interface <SFP PORT> controll

I want to see the same output taken from the other switch.
NOTE: I'd seriously consider upgrading the firmware of the switch. 15.2(2)E is not a "stable" release.

hi,
can you post the show inventory?
try to do: move to a spare port on the module card, swap SFP or clean the SFP with a foam swab/bud.
