Cisco Catalyst 4500X-16 SFP+ Switch vmware trunk issue

hi all,

i am trying to configure the trunk between the Cisco Catalyst 4500X-16 SFP+ Switch and vmware host but the trunk is not negotiating. but when i try to connect with 3850 switch the trunk is working between the 3850 and vmware host.

is there any limitation or bug in the 4500-x? i am using 3.7.0 version in 4500.

there is no negotiation at all between 4500 and vmware it just says none.

what does the sh int trunk show when 4500 is connected ? can you post the config and outputs of the ports from 4500

Is the spanning-tree in fwd state for those interfaces , anything showing in logs

Please check 4500 port config to see if auto negotiate is on ?
