Cisco Catalyst 6509 - show ip ospf interface

Hello Experts,

Can you help me understand what is the meaning of below line in show ip ospf interface command (marked in red)? This is from Agg switch which is connected to Core switch.

Hi,

That is the IP address of the loopback interface.

If you issue "sh run int lo0" you will see that IP is configured under interface lo0.

HTH

It means that interface Loopback 0, which participates of the OSPF process inside area 0, has the described IP: 10.199.1.1 mask 255.255.255.255(/32).

Use the comand Show ip interface loo0 brief and you will see all layer3 configuration for this interface.

Remeber that loopback interfaces are virtual interfaces used to management purposes.
