Hello,

Does anyone know if the Cisco Catalyst 9000 range range supports VSS and if all the range supports VSS.

Read through all the data sheets and it is not listed anywhere.

Thank you.

9400 supports VSS.
9500 supports Stackwise Virtual.

This is wrong!

Can you please provide the correct answer?

Stackwise-Virtual on C9400 is currently targeted for 16.9.1 release (no committed)

So do any of this range support VSS?

My understanding is no.

No. Not like the "classical" VSS which runs only on IOS. IOS-XE "VSS" is called "Stackwise Virtual", but it is basically the same (correct me if i am wrong)

Thank you for all the replies. Which of the Catalyst 9000 range supports Stackwise virtual then?

9500 supports VSS with front panel ports

is CAT9400 supports any kind of stacking?

9400 support VSS.

Actually, it is not supported. I have tried to configure it in my Catalyst 9400 but it is not accepting the configuration. Also, i have checked in Cisco website, it is supporting 4500 series and 6500 series.

VSS is on the roadmap.

great, but what solution do I have to make my Switches stackable or redundant?
is Stacks members with IP is a good solution?
