Hello,
We have a SVL pair of Catalyst 9500 running as a core switching system. The DAD link goes via Catalyst 9300 aggregation layer switches configured in stack.
We are wondering, if we reboot the 9300 stack as a part of an upgrade process, if this will affect negatively our 9500 core pair. As far as I know the DAD is not critical as a service, and if the DAD link goes down, this won't bring the whole 9500 system down.
What is your experience with such a scenario?

As I know if SVL down then both peer check DAD status
if SVL is not down then both Peer not so care about the DAD status

- It won't bring down the the whole 9500 system , but before doing that on the logon to the 9500 and issue the CLI
command terminal monitor which gives you the opportunity to follow up on all console messaging
