when i read Cisco datasheet what are the most important parameters that i need to look at ? pls can anyone guide me through a datasheet ?

When you are about to buy a car, what are the most remarkable features that you need to know? Well, the answer is almost similar to your question, only you know what is the most important for your business: price?, ports? type of ports? speed of the ports? memory? which layer? number of ARP entries? stackable? PoE? particular features (perhaps Nexus)? VSS? etc.

I think everything could be considered important but I could mention:

- Throughput/Performance

- Port density (amount of ports) or number of slots

- High availability (available power supplies, supervisors, etc)

- Modularity 

- Support DNA (New release)

- Memory

- Type of License in order to support my protocols requirements
