cisco gbic security crypt 4 id mismatch

Hi guys,

I seldom have hardware issues on Cisco material. This time on my switches C2960X-24TS-L v15.2(2), I got the error message when I insert a GLC-TE on the 4 Gbps uplink ports:

%gbic-security-crypt-4-id mismatch

I notice that I cannot setup the interface using "media type RJ45" command as older version. So I guess the switch can detect the SFP automatically.

Is it a bug on this IOS version ? Maybe I need some workarounds ?

Error Message    GBIC_SECURITY_CRYPT-4-ID_MISMATCH: Identification check failed for 
GBIC interface [chars]. 

Explanation    This message means that the SFP module was identified as a Cisco SFP module, but the system could not verify its identity. [chars] is the port.

Recommended Action    Ensure that the Cisco IOS software running on the switch supports the SFP module. You might need to upgrade your software. Otherwise, verify that the SFP module was obtained from Cisco or from a supported vendor.
