Cisco Gray Market Switch vs Channel Partner Switch.

HI All,

I want to buy few switches for my office network ( 2960 & 9200L ) . How to identity the switch is original or gray market product.

The supplier ready to provide the switch with smart net support also with 1 yr warranty but he is not listed in cisco partners list. Same switch I checked with cisco listed partner and the price is very expensive for the same product.

 

Is there any way to check the switch is original or gray market with out contact cisco partner . I mean online ? 

Is there any switch functionality ( commands ) are different   ?

And I am buying 1G Multomode SFP for uplink . This is also price difference.

How to check SFP s are original or not online ?

please help me on this subject .....Thank you for your replays

The correct question should be "how to identify if the switch is counterfeit or not".  

Make sure the seller is an authorized reseller of Cisco gear.  If they are not, then all bets are off.
